Patrick Beverley is checking in amid this week’s events in Israel.

The former NBA guard Beverley provided an update on himself in a post to his X page Tuesday. Beverley, who is currently playing in Israel for Hapoel Tel Aviv, said that he was safe in the wake of Iran’s missile attacks on Israel.

“Thanks for reaching out,” Beverley wrote. “I’m safe. Peace and Love.”

On Tuesday, Iran fired around 200 ballistic missiles on targets in Israel, largely concentrated on the Tel Aviv area. Many missiles were intercepted with the help of the United States, but some were able to successfully reach their targets. Iran says the attack was retaliation for recent Israeli actions, including an airstrike in Beirut last week that killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

As for the three-time All-Defensive selection Beverley, he surprisingly left the NBA this offseason to sign with Hapoel Tel Aviv on a lucrative contract. Now 36 years old, Beverley made some blunt comments over the summer about what it would be like playing in Israel and is now himself living through some of the turmoil that is taking place in the country.
