Paul Reed and Mitchell Robinson got into a shoving match during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference first-round playoff series between the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich., on Thursday night.

The Knicks had lost the ball out of bounds while leading 30-27 with 51.8 seconds left. There was a break as Karl-Anthony Towns checked back into the game. During that pause in the action, Paul Reed and Mitchell Robinson got into it and started to shove each other. Towns came over and shoved Reed as well.

All three players received technical fouls. Since two Knicks players got technical fouls, the Pistons were awarded a free throw, though Cade Cunningham missed his attempt.

Thursday’s game was a big one for Detroit. This is their first time in the postseason since 2018-2019, which means Thursday’s game was their first home playoff game in six years. Their fans have been waiting a while, and their players are hyped up as well.

The teams entered Game 3 with the series tied 1-1.
