Pelicans reportedly still not responding to Lakers’ Anthony Davis offer
The chances of the Los Angeles Lakers acquiring Anthony Davis continue to look shaky.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the New Orleans Pelicans still haven’t responded to the Lakers’ latest trade offer for Davis, despite the trade deadline being little more than 24 hours away.

It’s unclear what the Pelicans are doing by slow-walking the offer. Perhaps they’re trying to wait out the deadline and try again in the summer, or perhaps they’re holding things open in the unlikely hope that someone makes a superior offer in the next 24 hours that they can take or use as leverage against the Lakers.
A Davis trade before the deadline looks unlikely, but cannot be ruled out. The best way to put it might just be the same word used to describe Davis’s injury status for Wednesday’s game.
