Pistons’ official page took ruthless shot at Kyle Kuzma after beating Wizards

The Detroit Pistons were happy to give some pie-in-the-face to Kyle Kuzma after beating the Washington Wizards on Sunday.

Detroit was victorious over Washington in their latest conference matchup, winning in a 124-104 blowout. After the game, the Pistons’ official X page decided to get in a swipe at the Wizards forward Kuzma.

“*don’t say it* *don’t say it* *don’t say it* *sighs* at this point it’s like ‘don’t be that team,’” the Pistons wrote.

That was a savage callback to a comment that Kuzma made last season when the Pistons were nursing an NBA-record losing streak. He used the “don’t be that team” line when talking about how nobody wanted to be the team that Detroit finally beat to break their historic streak of losses.

While the Pistons would indeed go on to set an all-time record by losing 28 games in a row last season, they are having a far more respectable 2024-25. At 7-8 on the year, they are already halfway to their win total from all of last season (14). Thus, it is good to see them finally having their moment to talk some smack.
