Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder more or less admitted that his team doesn’t have an answer defensively for James Harden.
Harden dropped 41 points on the Jazz in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals, shooting 12-of-26 from the field. Snyder’s solution for Game 2? Politely ask the MVP candidate to miss.
quin synder on how the jazz can defend harden better: “you ask him to miss. you say, ‘please, james, will you miss this time down the court,’ and you hope he’s magnanimous about it.”

Snyder is very much channeling his inner Gregg Popovich here. Snyder will no doubt have a real plan to try to slow Harden down, but as many other teams have found, that’s much easier said than done.
