The Boston Celtics announced on Friday that point guard Rajon Rondo would miss 6-8 weeks after having surgery on his broken hand.
The team said the injury occurred when Rondo fell at his home on Thursday night. ESPN reported that Rondo told the team he fell in the shower.
Though it’s difficult to believe that someone with the balance and agility of Rondo would fall in his home, it’s definitely plausible. I mean athletes seem to get hurt around the house all the time.
What’s funny is it looks like Rondo was showering after returning home from an indoor trampoline facility.
A few folks on Twitter said Thursday that Rondo was at Altitidue Trampoline Park in Billerica, Mass.

Barstool Sports Boston even has a photo of Rondo at the facility.
It would be completely irresponsible of us to suggest that Rondo got hurt at the trampoline park, so we’re not going to go there. We’ll just say that the old “athlete hurt falling in his home” explanation is a little cliche.
