Two players were ejected Monday after a brawl broke out during an interconference game between the Atlanta Hawks and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Fireworks went off to begin the fourth quarter at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn. Timberwolves center Naz Reid and Hawks center Mouhamed Gueye got tangled up in the period’s opening possession.
Gueye shoved Reid to the floor as the latter was setting a screen for Jaden McDaniels. Reid took exception to the push and got up into Gueye’s face. The altercation escalated from a heated exchange to some serious grappling as players from both sides tried to keep the two big men apart.
And we got another brawl tonight!

Reid and Gueye were both ejected from the contest following the tussle. The Timberwolves were already up 19 points when the incident took place. Minnesota cruised to a 138-116 victory without Reid on the floor.
Brawls were breaking out left and right on Monday across the NBA slate. A wild melee also occurred during the Detroit Pistons-Charlotte Hornets game that saw several punches being thrown.
