Reggie Jackson stunned

Reggie Jackson received a buyout from the Detroit Pistons and plans to sign with the Clippers, according to a report.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Tuesday that Jackson and the Pistons agreed to a contract buyout. Once he clears waivers, the guard is expected to join the Clippers.

The Clippers have been looking to improve their roster in hopes of building a championship team. They acquired Marcus Morris in a trade with the Knicks before the deadline and now would be adding Jackson.

Their updated depth chart including Jackson would look like this:

Clippers' updated depth chart:

PG: Patrick Beverley – Reggie Jackson – Terance Mann
SG: Paul George – Lou Williams – Rodney McGruder
SF: Kawhi Leonard – Landry Shamet
PF: Marcus Morris – JaMychal Green – Patrick Patterson
C: Ivica Zubac – Montrezl Harrell – Mfiondu Kabengele

Jackson, 29, has averaged 14.9 points and 5.1 assists per game this season. He’ll add depth to the Clippers’ second unit, joining their guard rotation of Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams and Landry Shamet.
