Rockets’ Eric Gordon has lost weight during hiatus
Eric Gordon is the latest Houston Rocket to shed some weight over the break.
Kelly Iko of The Athletic reported on Friday that the Rockets swingman has already lost 12 pounds through track sprints and dieting. Iko adds that there is hope that the lighter frame will help prevent further injury to Gordon’s knees.
Gordon, who has seen his averages and percentage splits dip slightly this season, is officially listed at 216 pounds. He will also turn 32 later this year and has a history of knee troubles dating back almost a decade, so cutting down on weight figures to be a sound strategy.
One of Gordon’s star teammates made headlines recently for an even bigger weight loss, and it is obvious that the Rockets are doing everything that they can to stay in shape despite the current stoppage in play.
