Scottie Pippen is continuing his blood feud with his former co-star.
The retired Basketball Hall of Famer Pippen appeared in an ad for Mr. Pibb that was released last week. In the commercial, Pippen took a notable shot at his estranged ex-Chicago Bulls teammate Michael Jordan, whom he famously won six championships with in the 1990s.
“When something has been considered second-best for so long, we just blindly accept it as gospel,” said Pippen, who was regarded as the clear sidekick to Jordan on the Bulls.
When a voiceover then mentioned the ills of “a decades-long plot built on marketing, social media,” Pippen then chimed in by adding, “Multi-part documentaries.” Here is the video of the ad.

While that Mr. Pibb commercial was certainly very light-hearted, the beef between Pippen and Jordan is very real. Pippen was especially enraged by his portrayal in the Jordan-produced ESPN docuseries “The Last Dance” and openly spoke out against it around the time that it was released.
Since then, Pippen has continued to air out his public gripes against Jordan. Now that is continuing this month with the now 60-year-old Pippen’s soft drink commercial for Mr. Pibb.
