Screaming Spurs Fan Lady identified?
The media has been searching for the identity of the mystery woman the Internet has come to call “Screaming Spurs Lady.”
As we wrote on Monday night, one woman ruined the experience for everyone watching Game 1 of the San Antonio Spurs-Golden State Warriors series on TNT by screaming throughout the end of the game. She was sitting close enough to the TNT announcers that her screams were audible every time the Spurs did something great.
Multiple San Antonio media outlets have tried to find the woman — a few claim they have — and even Deadspin sent out the Bat Signal. So far, there have been a few different claims about the woman, but we think KENS 5 in San Antonio found the real answer to the mystery.
KENS 5 says they received a phone call from someone claiming to be a friend of the shrieker, whom they say is 23-year-old dental assistant Val Garcia.
“I think everyone was pretty loud,” Garcia told KENS. “I just have such a high-pitch scream.
“I swear my eyes were going to pop out of my face. I was totally out of breath. After the game I felt lightheaded (and) my voice was shot.”
