Report: Several key Bulls want Jim Boylen fired
Jim Boylen will be getting the boot in Chicago if a few Bulls get their way.
Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported on Friday that “several key players” on the Bulls have ripped Boylen as part of detailed discussions with management, calling for the team to “move on” from him. Cowley does add however that several other Bulls players have spoken “very favorably” about the 55-year-old, who has gone 39-84 (.317) in his two seasons at the helm.
We know of at least a couple of Bulls stars who are unhappy with the direction of the team. One factor may be Boylen’s strict, old-school approach, which has not appeared to resonate with his overwhelmingly young roster.
If Chicago, now led by a new front office regime, decides to axe Boylen, there are a few intriguing options out there looming as potential replacements.
