Shaq, Dick Vitale call out LaVar Ball over price of Lonzo’s signature shoe
LaVar Ball may just have a couple more feuds with prominent basketball figures on his hands.
In a tweet on Thursday, Hall of Fame center-turned-TNT analyst Shaquille O’Neal called out Ball over the $495 price tag for son Lonzo’s signature shoe.
Hey @Lavarbigballer real big baller brands don't over charge kids for shoes. pic.twitter.com/N2U0VPXXyt

The shoe, made independently by the Ball family company, Big Baller Brand, was officially unveiled earlier in the day and got hit with some major memes.
Of course, O’Neal has a history of offering affordable signature shoes, both with Reebok and his own Shaq brand, which he references in the tweet.
Legendary sportscaster Dick Vitale also took an opportunity to shade the Ball family patriarch in a tweet on Thursday.
All I can say LaVar Ball is doing all he can to have his son disliked by everyone. @darrenrovell https://t.co/BHmalpxqDI

By now, LaVar has started beef at just about every level of basketball, from high school coaches to NBA superstars and everyone in between. While he has always been about building his family’s brand, that’s difficult to do when you’re turning off so many people with words and actions alike.
