Rims across the planet no longer have to fear Shaquille O’Neal like they used to.
Shaq went viral for the wrong reasons on Tuesday when a video of him trying to dunk at age 54 was posted on social media. The former NBA MVP got stuffed by the rim and fell to the hardwood in a heap while everyone around him laughed.
The 4-time NBA champion eventually got back to his feet, with his knees clearly feeling the aftereffects of trying to defy gravity in his advanced age.

Shaq appeared to be practicing for his appearance at a “Dunkman” event later that day. He was able to redeem himself when the cameras were on, soaring for a two-handed jam and hanging on the rim for good measure.

The Hall of Fame big man always says he could make his free throws during crunch time. He may no longer need to make his way to the free-throw line nowadays, but Shaq showed he could still deliver when it mattered most.
Shaq may want to take some pointers from another All-Star big man who somehow managed to keep dunking until age 70.
