Sophie Cunningham might need someone to pour her a drink after getting quite a surprise during an Indiana Fever practice on Wednesday.
In a video shared by the team, Cunningham looked absolutely astonished to see country music star Blake Shelton popping up at Indiana’s practice.
“I just lost all focus,” Cunningham said as she walked over to Shelton, who was holding a Fever jersey with his name on it. The two shared a hug as Cunningham continued to gush over Shelton’s presence.
Here’s the video of Cunningham’s reaction and interaction with Shelton.

But Shelton didn’t come to the gym to make Cunningham forget what practice is all about. He saw an opportunity to visit the Fever amid his promotion of his bar-restaurant Ole Red, which is set to open in downtown Indianapolis in 2027, to the delight of Cunningham and many of her teammates.
Even Fever head coach Stephanie White posed for a photo with Shelton before he left, as Cunningham and company continued on their business on the court.
The Fever are in the middle of their preparation for the upcoming 2026 WNBA season, and seeing Shelton in person might have just made practice feel lighter for the 29-year-old Cunningham.
