Steve Kerr breaks clipboard during timeout (Video)
Typically a composed head coach during games, Steve Kerr showed visible frustration during Game 1 of the NBA Finals by breaking a clipboard while talking with his assistant coaches during a timeout in the third quarter.
Kerr was obviously peeved that the Cavs had gone on a 7-0 run to make it a 4-point game in the third. That included Tristan Thompson putting one back in off an offensive rebound, which led to the Warriors calling timeout.
Kerr then busted up the board like a karate student giving a demonstration:

Though this move seems out of character for Kerr, it’s not the first time he’s busted up a clipboard while trying to send a message to his team.
“Destruction tends to ease some of the anger, so I tried to take it out on a clipboard instead of some players. It’s better that way,” said Kerr after the game.
