Kerr impressed by Draymond Green’s lack of technicals in playoffs

Draymond Green

Steve Kerr better hope he didn’t just jinx Draymond Green.

Kerr spoke with the media on Friday ahead of Game 3 between his Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans. He said that Green has done a better job of controlling his emotions, as evidenced by his lack of technical fouls this postseason.

Steve Kerr on whether Draymond Green is doing a better job controlling his emotions in these playoffs: "I think so. I don't think he has any technicals yet in the playoffs. That's one of the great stats in these playoffs."

“I don’t think he has any technicals yet in the playoffs. That’s one of the great stats in these playoffs,” Kerr said.

That’s true. Green does have a flagrant foul this postseason, but no techs. Compare that to his 12 over the previous three postseasons. Green also had 15 techs during the regular season this season and last season, which shows how he’s been in greater control during the playoffs.

You may recall that Green was suspended during the NBA Finals two years ago, which contributed to the Warriors losing the series to the Cavaliers. He said he learned his lesson after that. That seems to be the case at least so far in the playoffs.
