Steve Kerr: Kevin Durant could play after one practice
Kevin Durant still hasn’t been cleared for contact in practice, but his coach says that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a long way away from returning.
Coach Steve Kerr opened the door to the possibility that Durant could play after practicing just once, setting up the potential of a return on short notice before Game 3 or 4.
Steve Kerr says Kevin Durant still has yet to be cleared for full contact, but “feasible” he could play in a game after only one practice. Warriors next practice is Tuesday, the day before Game 3 and then Thursday, the day before Game 4.

Durant won’t play in Game 2, but there’s some optimism he could be back for Game 3. At this point, the situation is effectively day-to-day, but with comments like these Kerr is keeping the door open for a quick return without a lot of advance warning.
