Steve Kerr put the blame on himself after his Golden State Warriors lost to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night.
Kerr said after the 111-102 loss that the game marked one of his worst performances as a coach. He specifically cited the team’s lack of spacing as a big issue.
“I did not like our offense tonight,” Kerr said after the game. “I’ve got to do a better job. Tonight was probably a game I can mark down as one of my worst performances as a coach, honestly. Every time I looked up we had three guys in the paint.
“All in all, I’ve got to do a better job than I’ve done the first couple months of the season. We’ve got to get better shots, get better spacing, and get better flow. … I’ve got to do a better job of finding combinations that work and find spacing that works.”

The game marked Steph Curry’s return from a groin injury. He had 27 points on 10/21 shooting but was just 3/9 on threes. As a team, the Dubs made just 23.1 percent of their shots from long range, which you can probably point to as their biggest reason for the loss.
Golden State is now 15-9 on the season, which places them fourth in the conference. They should be getting Draymond Green back on the road trip, which will help them get back to normal.
