Steve Kerr thinks that it is time for his team to stop rope-a-doping.
Speaking with reporters on Thursday, the Golden State Warriors coach spoke about turning up the intensity following the team’s recent stretch of losses.
“It’s time,” said Kerr, per Dieter Kurtenbach of the Mercury News. “It’s time for us to turn it up, to lock in.

“We’ve had to pace ourselves somewhat the last two seasons — and I think you can tell,” he went on. “That’s over with.”
Though the Warriors still have the best record in the West at 44-20, they have lost five of their last eight games, including a 33-point home drubbing by the Boston Celtics on Wednesday. The defending champions next play the Denver Nuggets, who sit just one game behind them in the standings, on Friday.
With internal drama also plaguing the Warriors as of late, Kerr knows that the team urgently needs to get back to playing championship-level basketball, and that means the rest of the league should be on high alert.
