The Phoenix Suns made an interesting change Monday regarding their exit interviews.
The Suns lost at home to the Minnesota Timberwolves 122-116 on Sunday night to get swept out of the playoffs. The team made their players available to speak with the media on Monday. However, they made a change elsewhere.
The Suns were going to have general manager James Jones also speak with the media Monday. That got changed, and the team instead said that Jones would speak on Wednesday, along with team owner Mat Ishbia.

Suns were originally going to have James Jones speak today for exit interviews but now it will just be select players. Jones moved to Wednesday and owner Mat Ishbia will speak then too.

What’s so interesting about that change? There have been reports saying that the Suns might get rid of head coach Frank Vogel.
Why would the Suns move Jones’ media availability to Wednesday — the same day as Ishbia? The team likely did not want the GM to be faced with questions about Vogel’s job status. But on Wednesday, when Jones and Ishbia speak with the media together, they probably will have some answers prepared.
Bottom line: you can probably expect to hear something more definitive about Vogel’s job status on Wednesday.
