Enes Kanter Freedom just caught a wild stray from an ESPN analyst.
While discussing Klay Thompson’s move to the Miami Heat after a short stint with the Dallas Mavericks, ESPN’s Tim MacMahon couldn’t help himself from taking a shot at aspiring WNBA player Kanter.
During an appearance on the “Brian Windhorst & Hoop Collective” podcast, MacMahon broke down the decline in Thompson’s value from being one of the premier two-way players in the league to someone who now needs to be compensated for his defense.
“You got to protect him [Thompson] defensively now, and instead of being a guy who you can put on the other team’s best perimeter scorer,” MacMahon said before landing a jab on Kanter.
“But the Heat are as desperate for shooting as Enes Kanter is for attention.”
That quip about Kanter elicited an “Oh no” reaction from Windhorst, but MacMahon continued his take without missing a beat.

MacMahon said what he said.
He surely is not a fan of Kanter’s shenanigans during last Sunday’s game between the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Ill., where the former Utah Jazz big man exchanged words with Sky star Natasha Cloud.
In any case, Kanter did get a ton of attention for his behavior, for better or for worse.
