Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton hasn’t played since Game 7 of the 2024 NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Haliburton suffered a torn right Achilles in Game 7, and that led to him missing the entire 2025-26 NBA season. However, just a couple of months before the new season, Haliburton sent a confident message regarding his health.
“I am the source: I can tell you I am healthy right now… I feel great,” Haliburton said. “I will be ready for the season if the season was today.”

At this rate, it’s not a surprise, and the Pacers posted a video this summer of Haliburton dunking during a workout, which all but indicated he is good to go.
Without Haliburton, the Pacers went 19-63, finishing with the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference, ahead of only the Washington Wizards.
The Pacers didn’t get to keep their draft pick due to the trade with the Los Angeles Clippers that sent Ivica Zubac to Indiana.
Still, the Pacers signed Kelly Oubre Jr. and Larry Nance Jr. in free agency, and they selected Purdue star Braden Smith in the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft.
At the end of the day, having Tyrese Haliburton will be a breath of fresh air for the Pacers.
