Viral video shows Julius Randle getting heated with assistant, smacking laptop
Julius Randle has averaged less than a block per game for his NBA career, but he had no problem swatting away a laptop during a recent contest.
Video went viral Monday of Randle getting into it with a New York Knicks assistant coach during Saturday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. The assistant, who was later identified as Scott King, was trying to show Randle something on a laptop during a timeout. Randle was not having it however and smacked the laptop away. The two then exchanged words, and Randle got into King’s face before bystanders separated them. Here is the video.

The Knicks jumped out to a 21-point lead on the Lakers in the first half but ended up losing in overtime 122-115. Randle actually had one of his better games of the season though with 32 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists.
The All-NBA big man Randle agreed to a four-year, $117 million extension with the Knicks over the offseason, which will kick starting in next season. But he has failed to live up to that billing this season, seeing all of his averages decline as the Knicks have fallen to 12th in the East.
Randle has also been showing lots of frustration lately, even with the Knicks’ own fans. Now he can add one of the team’s assistant coaches to his growing list of recent adversaries.
