Watch: Trae Young spins defender around in highlight-reel play

Trae Young got the post-All Star break portion of his rookie season off to scintillating start against the Detroit Pistons.

During Friday’s game, the Atlanta Hawks point guard broke out a move you’re more likely to see on the playground than in the NBA. After dribbling around a screen, Young went behind his back and between his legs to completely confuse Bruce Brown before passing to Dewayne Dedmon for the dunk.

That’s certainly worth watching more than once. There’s still plenty of basketball left to be played but this play will likely find its way into many highlight reels of the 2018-2019 NBA season.
