Report: Wendell Carter Jr. to miss multiple weeks with ankle injury
Chicago Bulls big man Wendell Carter Jr missed half of his rookie season last year after suffering a thumb injury, and he is once again expected to miss an extended period of time.
Carter suffered an injury on a driving shot attempt during Monday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, and Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that he was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain. He will be out multiple weeks.

The injury doesn’t sound like anything that will jeopardize Carter’s season, but it is undoubtedly frustrating for him after he played in just 44 games last year.
Carter is averaging 11.7 points and 9.9 rebounds per game for the 13-25 Bulls. He has played 30 minutes per game, which is third on the team.
