Yogi Ferrell to be restricted free agent after receiving qualifying offer from Mavs
Yogi Ferrell is headed for restricted free agency after receiving a qualifying offer from the Dallas Mavericks.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Tuesday that the Mavs tendered Ferrell a qualifying offer.
Dallas has tendered a qualifying offer to guard Yogi Ferrell and he'll become a restricted free agent on July 1, league source tells ESPN.

Ferrell played in all 82 games for Dallas last season, averaging 10 points and 3.7 assists in 26.1 minutes per game. He was signed by the team the previous season to a 10-day contract, which turned into a larger contract after he played well.
Ferrell has said that he wants to remain in Dallas.
“I want to be here. And I think they want me to be here. I’m just going to wait and see how it works out,” Ferrell said earlier this month, via the Dallas Morning News.
The Mavs will have the opportunity to match any offer sheet to which the 25-year-old guard is signed.
