Floyd has four kids — two boys and two girls.
The two boys (Koraun and Zion) and one of the girls — Jirah — are Mayweather’s children with Josie Harris. Harris is sort of like Floyd’s childhood/high school sweetheart. Though they were never married, they got together when Floyd was a teenager and obviously were close enough to have three kids over the years.
Harris has an on-and-off relationship with Floyd. As of last year they still were sleeping in the same bed together at times, but in recent months she’s been dating a different man. Josie is writing a tell-all book about her relationship with Floyd, which led Floyd to shut down her Instagram account (she believes).
Floyd has a lengthy history of domestic abuse of Josie and even went to jail in 2012 for assaulting her in 2010.
In 2003, Harris told police Mayweather punched and kicked her repeatedly inside his Bentley because she got upset over the way he was acting with another woman. He allegedly dragged her out of the car by her hair, causing lacerations on her face. Charges were filed but dismissed in 2005 after Harris told police she was lying about the accusations. It seems that Mayweather paid her off by giving her a $500,000 ring.
In 2004, Mayweather was found guilty of battery for beating up two friends of Harris at a Luxor nightclub in Las Vegas. He beat them up supposedly just because he didn’t like the company Harris was keeping.
In 2010, Mayweather beat up Harris inside one of the homes he owns. Mayweather found text messages in Harris’ phone that indicated she was seeing NBA player C.J. Watson and he grew enraged when she admitted she was. He proceeded to beat her up in front of their children, prevented the kids from calling police, and threatened to beat them up if they did.
“Did he beat me to a pulp?” said Harris in a 2013 interview with Yahoo Sports. “No, but I had bruises on my body and contusions and [a] concussion because the hits were to the back of my head. I believe it was planned to do that … because the bruises don’t show …”
Mayweather … “grabbed Harris by the hair and punched her in the back of the head “with a closed fist several times,” according to the police report. He then pulled her off the couch by her hair and twisted her left arm.
Mayweather’s son, Koraun, gave a statement to police saying he saw his dad beating up his mom.
Mayweather was hit with multiple charges but had them reduced to misdemeanor battery as part of a plea bargain. He served three months in jail in 2012.
In 2012, Harris discussed her volatile relationship with Floyd and says the two have done crazy stuff like pull guns and try to run each other over at times. After the 2010 assault, Harris took her kids and moved out of the Las Vegas home provided by Floyd and moved to Valencia, Calif. She also sold the ring Floyd gave her in 2006 to start her new life and business. Now Floyd sends his private jet to pick her and the kids up when he wants to see them. That’s usually for special occasions — such as birthdays where Floyd throws lavish celebrations for her kids — and his fights, where he wants their support.
Mayweather’s other child — Iyanna — is with Melissia Brim, who has also a history of domestic violence episodes involving Floyd.
