Floyd Mayweather Jr to meet MMA fighter Tenshin Nasukawa on Dec. 31
Floyd Mayweather Jr is coming out of retirement for a fight on Dec. 31, according to an announcement made by the promotional organization Rizin.
Mayweather will face Tenshin Nasukawa in the fight. Nasukawa is 27-0 as a kickboxer and 4-0 as an MMA fighter. Rizin is an MMA promotional company, and they say they still have details to figure out regarding the rules of the fight between the boxer and MMA fighter.

The fight will take place in Japan. Mayweather has never had a professional fight outside of the United States. He hasn’t had a fight outside of Nevada since 2006.
Mayweather is 50-0 in his career as a professional boxer. If the rules of this fight are MMA or some sort of hybrid, a loss would not go on Mayweather’s boxing record, which makes it safe for him to take the fight without risking his undefeated mark.
Manny Pacquiao had said last month that Mayweather had plans to fight on New Year’s Eve, so he was right. Pacquiao also says that this will be a prelude to a rematch between him and Mayweather.
