Ryan Newman update: He is in serious condition, injuries non life-threatening
Roush Fenway Racing issued a statement on Monday night to update the condition of their driver Ryan Newman, who was involved in an ugly crash at the end of the Daytona 500.
In their statement, Roush Fenway said Newman was in serious condition. They said doctors indicated Newman’s injuries were non life-threatening.

Newman crashed on the final lap near the finish line and his car caught fire. He was taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
Until Roush Fenway’s statement, the world awaited an update on Newman’s condition. The good news is the 42-year-old driver has injuries that are not life-threatening.
