Angel Reese shouted out her former teammate, Hailey Van Lith, on Saturday.
Van Lith led TCU to an Elite Eight berth in the NCAA Tournament with a 71-62 win over Notre Dame in the Regional 3 semifinals. Van Lith made history with the win as it meant she was the first player to take three different schools to the Elite Eight. Last season, Van Lith was teammates with Reese at LSU and they reached the Elite Eight before losing to Iowa.
In response to Van Lith’s big game against Notre Dame, Reese posted “HVL” on X, which are Van Lith’s initials.

HVL.

Van Lith spent the first three seasons of her career at Louisville. The senior guard transferred to LSU for last season and reached the Elite Eight. Then she transferred to TCU for this season and has the Horned Frogs enjoying their best season in school history.
As for Reese, she is preparing for her second WNBA season. Her Chicago Sky begin the season on May 17 against the Indiana Fever.
