Bo Ryan has funny reaction to reporter’s question (Video)
Bo Ryan was anything but classy in defeat after Wisconsin lost to Duke 68-63 in the national championship game on Monday night.
In his postgame interview with CBS, he complained about the officiating. Then he hypocritically got upset at a reporter at the postgame news conference for bringing up the officials. Oh yeah, he also took a jab at programs that recruit one-and-done players by saying he doesn’t do that (which isn’t even true).
To show you how testy Ryan was, in the postgame news conference he was asked why they fouled Tyus Jones late with the score 66-63 with 35 seconds left. His reaction was hilarious. Then after the reporter clarified the situation leading up to the foul, Ryan explained what they were thinking.
“Nigel (Hayes) went for a steal. And Tyus (Jones) is so quick he kind of drew the foul.”
Given that explanation, it makes sense why Ryan didn’t understand the question; his team wasn’t trying to foul Jones in that situation.
