Brad Underwood expects to hear from his wife over ejection
Brad Underwood thinks his wife will have something to say to him about his ejection on Thursday.
Underwood was tossed from Illinois’ 86-83 loss to Ohio State with just over six minutes remaining in the game. Underwood was frustrated over his team’s poor play, as well as some calls from the officials, and got a second technical, triggering his ejection. He then exited with big emotion and fired up the crowd (video here).
The ejection helped rally the Illini, which narrowed the margin before falling.
Though Underwood had the looks of a hot head during his ejection, this was actually his first time being tossed while coaching the Illini. He said after the game that his wife was going to chew him out over the ejection.
Underwood said his wife is going to "chew me out" after tonight's ejection.
"It was a really grand occasion to get that done. We can all pop a bottle of bubbly for the first one."

What will Underwood’s wife be more upset about: the loss or the ejection? The combination of the two is not good.
