Bronson Koenig gave great interview after making big shot
Bronson Koenig made a big shot to help Wisconsin beat Xavier in comeback fashion on Sunday, and then he gave a great interview about it.
Speaking with TNT’s Dana Jacobson, the Wisconsin junior guard said he just was channeling his inner-Steph Curry with the 3-pointer to win the game:
"I've had an extra assistant coach all year." – Wisconsin's Greg Gard about his late father #MarchMadness https://t.co/AquqsQ2m3b

Koenig later repeated the same sentiment in an interview with Big Ten Network’s Rick Pizzo:
Hitting a game-winning 3 gets you an interview w/ @BTNRickPizzo. Hear from @BadgerMBB's Bronson Koenig. #MarchOnBTN https://t.co/dzgVTzdHvw

Not only did he have the line about emulating Steph Curry’s step-back 3-pointer, but he also used a Mark Jackson “hand down, man down” line.
Koenig just made a lot of new fans with that interview. He finished with 20 points, going a very Steph Curry-like 6-of-12 on three-pointers.
