Dan Hurley brushes off talk of other jobs after Rhode Island loss
Rhode Island coach Dan Hurley was not going to discuss other jobs in the wake of his team’s NCAA Tournament loss.
The Rams lost 87-62 to Duke, ending their season and giving way to a lot of uncertainty about the highly-touted Hurley’s future. Linked to other jobs, Hurley himself was not in any mood to talk about his future after the defeat.
Dan Hurley: “I could give a crap about who has an opening right now.” Hurley is the frontrunner for UConn.

You probably shouldn’t read much into this — Hurley isn’t going to confirm that he’s just coached his last game at Rhode Island mere moments after losing it. That said, he’s been linked heavily to the vacant Connecticut job, and it seems likely that he’ll be on his way out the door once the dust settles.
