Former UConn Huskies women’s basketball star Breanna Stewart used Villanova’s blowout win over Michigan in the title game on Monday night as an opportunity to troll the college basketball world.
Stewart sarcastically asked whether Nova is “bad for basketball” because they mowed through the competition and won the national championship.
So is nova bad for basketball?? I’m just asking for a friend..

Nova beat Kansas by 16, Michigan by 17 and won every single one of their games since March by at least double-digits. The Wildcats have now won two of the past three national championships, which has some talking about them as a dynasty.
Stewart won a national championship each of her four seasons at UConn and was a three-time national player of the year. UConn was so dominant during her run that there was talk about them being bad for the sport because they made it uninteresting. The comparison isn’t even close to being the same, but if she’s putting Nova in her class of dominance, that’s a compliment to them.
