Hampton made its presence known at the NCAA Tournament not for beating Manhattan in a play-in game for the right to get waxed by Kentucky, but for the early leader for best bench celebration of the tourney.
After a made free throw, the Pirates bench did the leg cross, tap, tap, leg cross celebration as seen in the movie, “Major League.”
Like our buddy Trey Kirby pointed out, the best part was seeing the two guys who actually play botch the choreographed move. How dare they! Oh … and somebody needs to tell them they’re supposed to cross with the opposite leg the second time!
