Indiana’s Justin Smith rips through Adidas shoe
Nike isn’t alone when it comes to issues with their basketball shoes.
Indiana sophomore Justin Smith had a shoe blowout during the Hoosiers’ game against Wisconsin on Tuesday night.

Smith was able to get a replacement pair of shoes to continue in the game. The forward had 12 points and 6 rebounds before fouling out.
The issue for Adidas comes less than a week after Zion Williamson had a high-profile Nike shoe blowout in the first minute of Duke’s game against North Carolina.
Both shoe blowouts happened to athletes of similar height and athleticism. Both are 6-foot-7 forwards who have explosive leaping abilities. Smith actually broke an Indiana record with a 48-inch vertical last year.
