Lawrence Police rip new selection show format via Twitter
The new format of the NCAA Selection Show is not getting good reviews — including from the Lawrence Police Department.
The new format involves announcing the 68 teams that earned bids before announcing the seedings and pairings, and also includes a live studio audience for the first time. Few seemed to like the change — and the police in Lawrence, Kansas are no exception.
Please do not call 911 to complain about the format of the NCAA tournament selection show. We can’t do anything about it, no matter how bad it is.

While one can see what everyone involved was getting at by announcing all 68 teams immediately, it did not go over well, and the studio audience didn’t really get any approval. The fact that TBS debuted with a major technical glitch didn’t help matters at all, either.
