Patrick Ewing lost his mind after a call went against his Georgetown Hoyas in their 81-73 loss to No. 1 Duke on Friday night at the 2K Empire Classic.
Ewing thought his Hoyas had a steal off an inbounds pass from Duke with 9:32 left in the second half. Instead, they were called for a foul. Ewing was ticked off and erupted, which led him to get called for a technical. That further enraged the third-year Georgetown coach, who was furious on the sideline after the calls and had to be held back by two assistants:
Damn, Patrick Ewing was heated! For good reason too (via @Hoya_Saxual) https://t.co/bzQO9cJMu0

The calls helped Duke extend their lead from seven points to 10 rather than allow Georgetown to cut into the deficit after what they thought was a steal.
Georgetown is now 4-2 on the season. The Hoyas beat Texas the night before for their best win of the season so far. Duke is now 6-0.
