Roy Williams tried his best to soften the blow after his North Carolina Tar Heels defeated Indiana in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament on Friday.
The Tar Heels shot 32-of-62 (51.6 percent) from the field, including 11-of-20 on 3-pointers. They ran the Hoosiers out of the building, scoring an impressive 101 points in the 101-86 win.
After the game, Williams tired not to make Tom Crean feel too badly and almost apologized for his team looking so good:
As Crean met Roy Williams at midcourt after the game, Williams shook his head and told Crean, "We haven't shot like that all year.''

At least you can say Williams wasn’t trying to rub in the win, unlike what was said about Oregon’s Dillon Brooks.
It’s a classy gesture from Roy, who reached the Elite Eight for the 12th time in his career. His Tar Heels will face Notre Dame in an all-ACC regional final on Sunday in Philadelphia.
