Tom Crean and Tim Miles got into it during Wednesday’s Indiana-Nebraska game after a hard foul.
Nebraska’s Tai Webster pushed Hanner Mosquera-Perea, who was going up for a dunk on an alley-oop. The contact seemed incidental, but it was still enough to get Crean fired up. He and Miles began yelling at each other.
There was some finger-pointing going on, and Crean appeared to yell “shut up” at Miles. After the game, Crean denied using those words.
“No. No I didn’t,” Crean said via the Indianapolis Star. “If anybody is writing that, that’s a complete mistake. That’d be wrong. That wasn’t the issue.”
Miles seemed to be even more heated afterwards. He had to be held back from Crean.
Indiana took home the win 70-65.
