It has become a growing trend around college football to have some sort of unique celebration on the sideline for a player who gets a takeaway during a game. The Baylor Bears appear to have gone above and beyond with a memorable new celebration for the 2026 season.
Baylor debuted a bear coat as their turnover celebration during Saturday’s season opener against Auburn. The item is simply a brown, furry coat with a bear head at the top, and it was striking to say the least.

The idea of a turnover prop was popularized by Miami’s turnover chain nine years ago. Other schools have followed with more elaborate celebrations, but Baylor’s wins both in simplicity and general weirdness.
Baylor got to break out the turnover bear three times against Auburn on Saturday, but only turned those turnovers into three points. The bear appears to be more about quantity than quality.
