Washington State quarterback Cameron Ward has set up his first official transfer visit, and the choice of school is somewhat surprise.
Ward will take his first visit at Miami, according to Max Olson of The Athletic. The Hurricanes are one of a number of teams interested in bringing in the highly-touted quarterback.

Ward has definitely been linked to some teams that most would view as closer to championship contention than Miami. Chief among them is Ohio State, which is in the market for a transfer quarterback. USC, Florida State, and Washington are among the other teams that have been linked to Ward.
Ward is coming off an excellent season with Washington State, which finished 5-7 and is not bowl eligible. Ward passed for 3,732 yards, 25 touchdowns and 7 interceptions this season. He also rushed for 8 touchdowns. Ward began his college career at Incarnate Word in Texas but spent the last two seasons playing for the Cougars in Pullman.
