Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has made his decision regarding his status for 2024.
Beck announced Monday that he will not enter the NFL Draft and will instead return to the Bulldogs for his senior season. The announcement was made through Georgia’s social media account, in which Beck said the NFL “can wait one more year.”
“My friends and family have helped put me in a situation to have options for my future. However, the NFL can wait one more year. I am returning to UGA for my senior season.
We need everyone's support in Miami to close this season out the right way!”–@carsonbeck01 #GoDawgs pic.twitter.com/O3Mm7OXmZg

Beck’s decision is not a huge surprise. While he was getting NFL Draft buzz, he would not be one of the top prospects off the board in 2024. The 2025 quarterback class is not quite as good, so Beck will likely have more of a chance to stand out in it by returning to school for another year. The news will also be welcomed by Georgia, especially since they may be in danger of losing their grip on a top quarterback recruit.
In his first year as Georgia’s starter, Beck threw for 3,738 yards with 22 touchdowns and six interceptions. He very nearly led the Bulldogs to another College Football Playoff appearance, losing out through defeat to Alabama in the SEC Championship.
