Colorado could not escape the memes on Saturday after the team laid an egg in the first half against Utah at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Buffaloes entered the contest against the Utes as two-touchdown underdogs. The sportsbooks appeared to have underestimated the gap between the two teams after witnessing the first two quarters of play.
Colorado had just 23 passing yards at the break, which is already pitiful on its own. But it was nothing compared to the -41 yards the Buffaloes had on rushing plays, knocking their total yards at the half down to an embarrassing -18 before the third quarter.

On the other end, Utah absolutely tormented Colorado’s defense to the tune of 398 total yards. The Utes led the Buffaloes 43-0 once halftime mercifully stopped play. The break gave fans time to give Colorado the well-deserved meme treatment.

If you are sitting on your couch or have run backwards 17 yards you have more yards than Colorado tonight.

Some clowned Colorado head coach Deion Sanders over his seemingly unwavering dedication to starting quarterback Kaidon Salter. Colorado still went with the Liberty transfer even after one of the most abominable first halves in program history.
Sanders has continued to deflect any questions about potentially shaking up Colorado’s QB hierarchy. He may need to reassess his commitment, and perhaps his entire coaching philosophy, after the beatdown his team took on Saturday night.
