LSU QB Danny Etling has funny comment about face injuries
LSU quarterback Danny Etling took an extremely unfortunate hit on Saturday — one that happened to come at a time where he wasn’t wearing a helmet. Despite that, the junior insists he is not going to miss any time.
And as an added bonus, Etling says his social life has not been negatively affected by his newly-arranged face.
“My health is good,” Etling told reporters on Monday, per Ross Dellenger of The Advocate. “Face has had better days. Hasn’t thrown off my game with the ladies too much, I guess.”

Thank goodness for that.
After Auburn defensive back Nick Ruffin’s helmet collided with Etling’s bare face, the quarterback needed medical glue to close cuts above his right eye and between his nose and upper lip. He’s now sporting a couple of bruises and a nose that apparently is not aligned properly.
“It’s crooked now,” Etling said. “I don’t know how to get that back straight.”
Heading into this weekend’s game against Missouri, Etling has a brand new face and a totally new coaching situation. But hey, at least his status with the ladies remains unchanged.
