Ex-Oregon WR facing life in prison for alleged armed robbery
Jalen Hall once had a promising future ahead of him when Oregon signed him as one of the top wide receiver recruits in the country, but the 19-year-old is now facing the possibility of going to prison for a very long time.
Hall was kicked off the Oregon football team earlier this month following an arrest, and TMZ reports that he is facing several charges related to an armed robbery. Law enforcement officials say Hall and another man, Milard Hill, took part in a home invasion robbery in Norwalk, Calif., on Sept. 10. Hall allegedly entered the home with a semi-automatic handgun and threatened three people before leaving with jewelry and other valuables.
Hall has been charged with three counts of home invasion robbery, two counts of kidnapping to commit robbery and one count of first-degree burglary. If convicted of all the charges, he could face life in prison.
A star at Long Beach Poly High School prior to committing to Oregon, Hall was ranked the No. 22 overall receiver in the country for the Class of 2018 by 247 Sports.
