If there is one person who is not afraid to stand up to Jim Harbaugh, it’s Ezekiel Elliott.
The former Ohio State running back put the Michigan coach in place when speaking on “The Paul Finebaum Show” on ESPN during an interview Friday. Elliott, who is expected to be a high pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, says he is “tired of hearing about” the Michigan coach.
“I am tired of hearing about Jim Harbaugh,” Elliott said when asked about Harbaugh. “I think he needs to get in check with reality because at the end of the day, you can’t talk smack about a rivalry when you haven’t won a rivalry game. You have to win ballgames to be able to talk behind it.”
Elliott then elaborated on the 42-13 win the Buckeyes posted over the Wolverines in the Big House last season. Elliott rushed for 214 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
“Honestly, that felt like a home game for us. We had so many Buckeyes there. Hearing the O-H-I-O chant in their house was a special moment. Seeing all their fans leave before the game was over and seeing a red sea in their stadium was one of the top college moments I’ve had.”
Ohio State fans are going to love Elliott for saying what they’ve had on their minds. This was probably a better smackdown on Harbaugh than what Elliott tweeted to the coach last month.
