Fans paid tribute to Jevan Snead after learning of the former Texas and Ole Miss quarterback’s death.
Snead died overnight in Austin at the age of 32. Police are investigating the death and say no foul play is suspected.
Snead began his college football career with the Texas Longhorns and appeared in eight games in 2006. He lost the starting quarterback battle to Colt McCoy and transferred to Ole Miss, where he started and played in 2008 and 2009. For the Rebels, he passed for 5,394 yards, 46 touchdowns and 33 interceptions. The team went 9-4 both years, finished in the top 25, and won the Cotton Bowl both seasons.

Snead went undrafted and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010 and briefly played in the Arena Football League in 2011. Snead had been working as a managing consultant at WeWork Space Services since April according to his LinkedIn profile.
